Out on the Lake 2010

Our first day out on the boat for 2010! The weather was beautiful and the lake was quiet and peaceful. Alissa popped right up on the wake board.

\

We boated around to the Wolfeboro town docks. Below are a few pictures taken from the lake. We don't usually venture to town via the water but it was an early season delight. We actually parked at the town docks for the first time. The girls & I scooted out to "The Bubble" for some ice cream.

It was an awesome day. I too got up on skis and took a spin around Winter Harbor. It was awesome!

Chipper

Here's Chipper hanging out on the driveway with the girls. He loves Spring! There are so many birds to chase off the lawn and squirrels to bark at. Chipper is exhausted most evenings.

Bike Week

June 12-20, 2010 - This year marks the 87th Anniversary of Laconia Motorcycle Week. This picture is of fireworks at Weirs Beach which is the Rally headquarters. Bike Week in New Hampshire averages up to 400,000 bikers and visitors. The counts for 2010 aren't in yet. next year from June 11-19, 2011. One of the activities is cruising the lake. We hear the motorcycles buzzing by on Route 109.

Cruising the lake

There is no other way to say it, Lake Winnipesaukee is one of the most scenic lakes in the world. Covering almost 69 square miles, Lake Winnipesaukee’s stretch of pristine water harbors hundreds of islands and numerous towns and villages. During your Bike Week Adventure, either by car or Harley, make it a point to cruise the circuit running the perimeter of the lake. Your trip will take you through quaint harbor towns like Meredith and Wolfeboro. Each village and town has its own character as well as numerous restaurants and stores to visit. The scenic stretches of road running higher up the mountainside will open up panoramic views of dark blue lakes and rolling green mountain spanning out as far as the eye can see.

The motorcycles line up in front of many of the venues in Wolfeboro. Here, they are infront of Garwoods restaurant.

Visit to Montana

I had to take a moment and post a few more pictures from our Montana trip. It was such a wonderful vacation! I loved being there with Sid, Beth, Emma, Jeff & Alissa.
Sid's awesome. I love having him in the family. Thanks to Beth for taking a picture of us while we wait for our dinner... Sure wish I had my Moose Drewl sweatshirt! It's an awesome sweatshirt. Beth, you better bring it back to me when you come!
Emma and mom take a minute from coloring to pose for a picture while we were WAITING patiently for our dinner.
Emma loves her cousin Alissa. She is very happy to be around her. Alissa likes Emma too....

Emma and Aunt Linda in the back seat. We had some together time while mom was driving us around.

The Prom

The Kingswood Prom is held on the Mount Washington cruising Lake Winnie.

The girls got ready at our house. It was awesome having them here. They all helped eachother out doing make up and and hair. Alissa has wonderful friends. It was wonderful to see them together.

Alissa posed with Jeff. They really look a lot alike in this picture. Dad's only a little proud of his daughter.
Alissa and Kelsey pose together on the Libby Museum docks. They spend a lot of time together on the dock during the summer. They look absolutely beautiful!
Alissa and the girls on the dock. You could see them all falling in.
Alissa & Kelsy... All dressed up but still goofing around!
Alissa and her date, Connor. Connor goes to Holderness. He had a baseball game so he had to meet Alissa at the town docks.

College Tours - Montana

We visited Sid, Beth & Emma in Montana and had an AWESOME wonderful time. I was able to get my Williamson fix and tour a couple of colleges.

Visit to New Paltz, New York

We met Kirsten at Marist college in Poughkipsee, NY. She gave us the grand tour of Marist College. It is a lovely campus. We had dinner together at the local diner. We then went to New Paltz where we stayed a local B&B. It was an interesting night. The next day, we toured New Paltz College. Alissa is definitely interested in SUNY @ New Paltz. It is staying on her list.

Kathryn's Baby Shower

On the big present from Kyle & Alissa, we printed off some pictures of Kathryn demonstrating her exceptional skills, back in the day with baby Kyle.

She seemed to really enjoy the pictures as we all did. Kyle was NOT at the shower.... "Just sayin'".
Kathryn was a really good sport wearing that little headband! She received so many wonderful gifts. It was wonderful to see her so happy.
Kathryn received a lot of Boston sporting outfits for Ella Grace. They were all so very cute!

The Diaper Bag....

A Boy and His Dog

O.K. So, I was looking through some old pictures and I found this one of Kyle and Sadie. I couldn't resist.... I posted it on his facebook page. Shew, he still loves me; only because I'm his mother.

Alissa is Recognized

Alissa and I were invited to attend the Lions Club District 44-H Cabinet Meeting. Alissa and her friend Amanda were recognized for their efforts in establishing the first Leos Club at Kingswood Regional High School.

In the picture above (left to right) is Ronald Sundquist, Wolfeboro Lion and Founding Sponsor of the Kingswood Leos Club; Amanda Spiller, Founding Vice President Kingswood Leos Club; Alissa Andrews, Founding President Kingswood Leos Club and Stephen Schmidt, King Lion Wolfeboro Club.

It was so awesome and humbling to witness such dedication and commitment to serving the people of New Hampshire and the world. I definitely felt the calling and I felt.... inclusive.

I also thought of Grandpa Ryer and his Kiwanis. I said something to Alissa and she informed me that the Kingswood Key Club, which she is a member and the treasuer, is under the Kiwanis just as the Leos Club is under the Lions. I didn't know that....

It was a wonderfull morning followed by a very beautiful day. Thank you, Ron!

Happy 17th Birthday ~ Alissa

Alissa's 17th birthday celebration. Kyle and his room mate Nick (aka Tapout) joined us for the celebration. She looks very H-A-P-P-Y to me. In keeping with the Roberts/Andrews tradition, Alissa chose the meal. We had steak tenderloin with apple brandy sauce, sauted carrots, rosemary & sage roasted sweet potatoes, spinach salad with carmelized onions and ANGEL food cake with strawberry sauce. It was a wonderful dinner. Alissa can have a birthday anytime.

Also, note the dinning room curtains are complete and the table cloth mom gave us for Christmas looks absolutely lovely.

Abenaki X Country Ski Progressive Dinner

Carol & I as we finished our trek. The conditions were terrible... It was windy & cold with very little snow, mostly slush and very difficult to see the trail. I fell several times. So, the attempt was awesome but the execution... not very well done. Maybe next year we'll complete the trail.... It was a beautiful night and an awesome good time with Carol & Julie!

Carol & Julie as we begin our trek through the twilight and dark, lit by nearly 100 luminaries marking the 3 km x-country ski trail through the forest.

Winter Carnival Dance

Alissa's dress was a make over. It had a flowy, scarf type bottom and was thigh length. We took it all apart and redid the dress. It turned out awesome. She added the belt and it looks awesome. She has a definite eye for fashion. And, a mom that can sew!
The girls looked great.
Alissa and Kelsy having fun getting ready.
